Do your services take place only in Norwich??
Our main office location in Norwich is home to many of our core services, and those seeking our assistance will find a private, client-centered atmosphere there. Several of our other program locations are in Norwich, such as our Child Advocacy Center and Roots and Wings. Many of our programs do offer outreach services in the form of home visits, off-site meetings, educational programs, and school-based services. Please contact our office for more information.
What kinds of volunteer activites can I get involved with at your agency??
Many of our programs depend on volunteers to provide services on a continuous basis. Some programs, like the Roots and Wings program, need volunteers to assist at our self-help center. We also have events every year that we look for volunteers to assist with for set up, entertainment, and promotion. For more information on volunteering, please call us at 607-334-8244 or visit our What You Can Do section.
How can I dontate to the agency and how are donations used??
Our agency depends on the generous support of community members to bring services to those in need and to fulfill our mission. Donations are used to support program services in combination with other state and local funds to maintain long-term programming. Those seeking to donate can specify the program or programs they wish to support financially, or can donate funds to the agency to be used where they are most needed. We also hold several fundraising events every year to help connect donors with our agency. For more information on how to donate, please contact our agency at 607-334-8244 and ask to speak to a financial department representative.
Do I have to be Catholic in order to receive assistance from your agency?
Our agency provides services to any individuals that need them and meet individual program requirements. We do not discriminate or refuse services to anyone on the basis of religious beliefs or non-beliefs. Additionally, our agency does not discriminate on any basis that is prohibited by State and Federal law. Anyone wishing to express concerns or submit a complaint regarding discrimination is encouraged to contact our compliance staff at 607-334-8244 or in writing addressed to “Compliance Officer” at 3 O’Hara Drive, Norwich NY 13815.
How much do services cost?
We have a large selection of programs that are funded by a variety of sources. Many of our program services are provided free of charge. Some programs, like our residential services and our Medicaid Service Coordination program, have specific billing requirements. We provide several types of counseling services, and depending on an individual’s need these may be provided free of charge (such as for victims of crimes), billed to an individual’s insurance company, or on a sliding-scale basis. For more information about our services and associated costs, please contact our agency at 607-334-8244 to speak to a program representative.
